The purpose of the GIS club is to gather, activate, educate and develop technological and theoretical knowledge in GIS of undergraduate and postgraduate students, organizing, coordinating, guiding and assisting projects to promote GIS education among university communities, school communities and external professionals, driving GIS activities for solving social problems, making best timely decisions and improving of comfortable living condition of the community for better Sri Lanka, providing a GIS support structure for solving critical geographic base challenges and be a nucleus for innovative educational and research programs for a sustainable world
